CNC Machining in Cambridgeshire and Precision Timber Components

Custom CNC Cutting, Routing and Machining from Our Workshop

CNC machining timber engraving in Cambridgeshire workshop using precision routing.

We provide CNC wood machining services from our Cambridgeshire workshop. This includes precision cutting, routing and engraving for designers, furniture makers, joinery workshops and private clients across the UK. Our work is timber only. So, if you need CNC machining for wood-based projects, one-off pieces or small batch production, you are in the right place.

CNC Machining and Cutting Services

We offer a range of CNC machining services to support bespoke projects, trade work and batch production. Here is what we can do:

CNC Routing and Precision Cutting

We cut panels, components and sheet materials to exact sizes, giving clean edges and consistent results across every part.

Profile Cutting and Custom Shaping

This works well for projects with curves, angles or complex shapes that would be difficult to achieve by hand.

Pocketing, Recesses and Cut-Outs

We use this for housings, insets and joinery details, so components fit together accurately during assembly.

Engraving and Detailed Lettering

Ideal for signage, branding and decorative elements where clean, consistent detail matters.

Routed Joinery and Furniture Components

For projects with multiple parts, CNC allows us to machine consistent components ready for assembly. This helps streamline your workflow and keeps everything accurate.

One-Off and Bespoke CNC Projects

We do a lot of one-off CNC machining for bespoke joinery, prototypes and custom components. So, whether you are developing a design idea, testing a concept or producing a unique piece, we can support you with precision and flexibility.

We are happy to work from sketches, drawings or early-stage ideas. From there, we help you refine your project and choose the right machining approach for what you need.

CNC Machining for Trade and Businesses

We provide reliable CNC machining for joinery workshops, furniture makers, shopfitters and commercial clients across the UK. Our CNC wood machining services are designed to fit around trade workflows, whether you need components for ongoing projects or additional machining capacity.

As a joinery workshop, we understand how timber projects come together in practice. As a result, every component we produce is practical, accurate and ready to use on site or in production.

Repeat Production and Batch Work

For projects that need consistency and repeatability, we offer small batch CNC machining with reliable turnaround times. This is ideal for furniture production, joinery components and commercial installations where every part needs to match.

We handle small to medium production runs with the same attention to detail we bring to our one-off work. So, you get accurate, consistent components without compromising on quality.

What Projects Are Suitable for CNC Machining?

CNC machining is ideal for projects that require precision, repeat accuracy or detailed shaping.

We regularly work on:

  • Custom shapes and complex profiles
  • Furniture components and fitted elements
  • Joinery parts and timber assemblies
  • Signage, engraving and branding elements
  • Panels and sheet material cutting

If you’re unsure whether CNC machining is right for your project, you can read more in our guide on when to use CNC machining for timber projects or get in touch for advice.

Workshop Capability and Materials

Our CNC is a 3-axis machine with a 2400mm × 1200mm bed. This means we can machine full sheets and larger components with ease. We regularly work with solid hardwoods, plywood, MDF and laminated boards.

If you are unsure about materials, we are always happy to advise. In many cases, we can also suggest options that improve durability or machining efficiency for your specific project.

CAD Design and Project Input

Projects come to us at different stages, so we keep things flexible. If you already have files, we can review and prepare them for machining. If not, we can design from scratch or adjust your existing drawings so they’re ready for production.

We accept .svg, .dxf, .step, .ai and .stl files. CAD support is provided as part of a machining project, with the understanding that we will then manufacture the components.

From Workshop to Delivery

Once everything is confirmed, we handle CNC machining, checking and preparation in-house. We ship components across the UK, or you can collect directly from our Cambridgeshire workshop. All items are packaged securely using recycled materials and sent via Royal Mail Tracked services. Most projects are completed and dispatched within one to two weeks of final confirmation.

For larger projects, we can also help with installation. This can be discussed during the planning stage.

Our CNC machining sits within a working joinery workshop, which means every component is produced with its final use in mind. We understand how timber behaves, how components fit together and how projects come together on site. Overall, the parts we produce are not just accurate but they are practical and ready to use.
