We are KMP Carpentry and Joinery, a family-run carpentry and joinery company based in Cambridgeshire. Our founder, Karl, holds City & Guilds qualifications in craft carpentry, advanced craft and craft machining. Over the last 45 years, he has worked across every stage of the trade, from workshop joinery through to site management and project delivery.
Today, Karl works alongside his son Bryn and daughter Cerys. Together, we run a workshop that delivers bespoke residential projects, commercial fit-outs, structural timber builds and CNC machining work. Every project is carefully planned, professionally managed and built to a standard we are proud to put our name to.
KMP have undertaken a number of jobs for us over the last few years including laying new paving slabs, fence renewal, making hardwood gates and refitting a kitchen.
All the work has been completed to a high standard and at very reasonable prices. We have more work lined up for KMP and would highly recommend them!

We design and build fitted furniture, media walls, alcove units, traditional windows and doors, bespoke staircases and custom storage solutions. Everything is made to measure and installed by our own team. As a result, the finished work reflects the same care that went into making it.
Commercial Joinery and Carpentry
Our commercial services include shop fit-outs, office installations, reception and counter joinery, structural carpentry and specialist projects. In many cases, we also act as the main contractor, which gives clients one clear point of contact throughout the project.
Timber Frame Construction & Extensions
We build timber frame extensions, garden rooms, oak structures and self-build projects. We also carry out structural alterations. By combining traditional framing knowledge with careful site management, we deliver projects to a consistently high standard.
CNC Machining & Timber Components
From our Cambridgeshire workshop, we provide precision CNC cutting, routing and engraving for residential, commercial and trade clients across the UK. In addition, we support joinery firms, cabinet makers and designers who need accurate timber components or small batch production.

First, we take time to understand your project properly. We ask the right questions, visit site where needed and provide honest, practical advice before any work begins.

Step Two: Craftsmanship & Fabrication
Next, we design and build your project in our Cambridgeshire workshop using quality, responsibly sourced materials. We combine traditional joinery craftsmanship with modern precision machinery to achieve accurate, consistent and high-quality results.

Step Three: Installation & Completion
Finally, we install everything ourselves with the same level of care used during production. We do not consider a project complete until it meets the standard agreed from the start.
