Acoustic Wall Installation in St Neots

A Bespoke Living Room Upgrade — Oak Slatted Panels & Custom Joinery

We designed and installed a full oak acoustic wall for a home in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Alongside it, we built a matching console shelf and a custom TV plinth. Our clients wanted to improve both the look and sound quality of their living room. They also wanted to keep the finish contemporary and timeless. Every element was made-to-measure, so the final result felt balanced and entirely their own.

Oak Slatted Acoustic Feature Wall

The wall behind the TV was our starting point. It needed to do two things: look great and improve the acoustics. So, we installed oak-faced slatted acoustic panels with careful attention to alignment and spacing. What we love about acoustic wall panelling is that it brings warmth and texture to a modern living room. On top of that, it reduces echo and improves sound quality too.

Custom TV Cabinet Plinth

Once the acoustic feature wall was up, the TV cabinet needed a plinth. We built one specifically for this space so it would sit neatly against the new panelling. Then we painted it black to match the cabinet. As a result, the whole unit looks seamless and intentional.

Bespoke Oak Console Shelf

To finish the space, we designed and installed a matching oak-veneered console shelf. It features solid oak edging and black sapele legs. We fitted it behind the sofa to add practical surface space without cluttering the room. Finally, we tied it in with the acoustic wall panels to give the space some balance. Overall, careful material choices and precise joinery brought this bespoke living room project together.
